The 2024 Singlespeed Cyclocross World Championships (SSCXWC) landed in Wisconsin this past weekend, and as is tradition, not many participants remember much about the event.
Thankfully, photographer Mitchell Vincent was on site with his rangefinder camera and captured images of the moments most want to forget.
Racers ran to a tangle of bikes, often to find their bike missing, and then navigated a constantly shifting maze of hay bales and beverage-carrying hecklers.
In the end, there was a bit of racing, with Brian West (men), Caitlin Neuman (women) and Risa Hustad (non-binary) claiming the ink.
SSCXWC slinks off to hibernate for another year, with an expected emergence in Minnesota. Pray for snow. Or not.
