2023 X²O Trofee Herentals kicked off the second major race of the year.
2022 Superprestige Diegem winner, Puck Pieterse (Alpecin – Deceuninck) gained a lead during on the opening lap, and never looked back. With this, Puck Pieterse was up to her seventh victory of the season.

2022 UCI World Cup Gavere runner-up, Lucinda Brand (Baloise Trek Lions) came in second place. This, however, puts her in first place for the overall ranking for the series, which is based on cumulative time.

Sanne Cant (Crelan Fristads) had a strong race, finishing fifth, and was emotional crossing the line:
