Fans were unsure about the change from Dendermonde to Gavere for this year’s stops. However, their worries were put to rest over the weekend as Gavere was a mud bath that delivered plenty of drama.
Shirin van Anrooij (Baloise Trek Lions) secured her third victory for the season. Her previous victory was the 2022 Exact Cross Mol – Zilvermeercross and her first victory of the season was the 2022 UCI Beekse Bergen.
Her teammate Lucinda Brand (Baloise Trek Lions) came in second.

The 2022 Val di Sole winner, Puck Pieterse (Alpecin – Deceuninck) came in third.

Puck Pieterse (Alpecin Deceuninck) had a fast start, but skipped the pits early in the race and suffered a mud-clogged rear wheel and watched Van Anrooij ride away.
