While the UCI C1 cyclocross races and World Cups have bunnyhopped the pond over to Europe, we're still digging out from a mountain of awesome content from the packed weeks of racing (and Sea Otter).
California-based cycling photographer Jeff Vander Stucken made the trip to Waterloo this year to take in the three days of racing and came away with a slew of amazing images.
Long-time CXM readers won't be surprised. We've been proud to showcase Vander Stucken's work over the years.
The photographer reflects on his trip to Waterloo:
This was my first trip to the Trek CX Cup and to Wisconsin, and boy was it different from Northern California. Most of the cyclocross races I shoot involve a lot of dry, dusty, bumpy hardpack with a little grass and some trees. What a great contrast to come to a course that is pretty much the opposite. I was really inspired by all the great racing set against the beautiful landscape and the stormy skies. I hope I get a chance to photograph and visit this great venue again in the future.
