In the Elite Men’s race, all eyes were on the Wout Watch. Van Aert crushed everyone to a pulp in his season debut at Superprestige Boom, and then had everyone treading brown water in the mud pits of the 2021 Ethias Cross Essen.
Could the Belgian superstar remain undefeated, or be frozen out of the winner’s circle without mud?
