A small group of Masters 55-59 Women opened the third day of title racing at the 2021 USA Cyclocross National Championships.
Elizabeth Sheldon, lining up in the 55-59 group at Nationals for the first time after finishing second in the 50-54 group in 2019, had a dominant ride, winning by over two minutes over Linda Cooper.
Only two racers finished on the lead lap, with Michele Bliss completing the podium, one lap down.
In the first pandemic Nationals, five racers started the Masters Women 55-59 race, compared to 14 in 2019.
