The rain arrived and umbrellas lined the course for Sunday’s UCI C2 racing at the Kings CX in Cincinnati, but the result was the same as the dry Kings CX Day 1 race on Saturday.
While the Europeans and two Americans were back in Europe contesting the dry sands of Zonhoven World Cup, North American racers faced a muddy, slippery course.
Canadian Rochette was dominant, taking the win over France’s Caroline Mani. Young Madigan Munro completed the podium, the first American to make the Elite Women’s podium in the two days of racing.
National Champ Clara Honsinger did not attend the race.
