It’s interesting to see what pops up under cycling in our sports apps feeds, but recently we saw a post from USA Cycling reminding the community that its 2019-2020 Cyclocross National Championships (along with 2018-2019 Amateur and Masters Road Nationals) are open for bid.
If you’re a promoter with dreams of bringing Nationals to your region for up to two years in a row, have a look at the Bid Instructions below.
2019-2020-Cyclocross-National-Championships-RFP-1The 2019-2020 National Championships bid proposals are due September 1, 2016. That’s exactly two weeks away, so get crackin’ on bringing the nation’s best cyclocross racers to your region.
It’s unclear at this point whether 2019-2020 might actually be 2018-2019 due to a move back to a December date for Nationals, but right now 2017 Nationals will be in January in Harford, CT and 2018 is scheduled for January in Reno, NV. However, conversations with Pete Webber and others at the 2016 National Championships revealed some momentum to shift Nationals back to December, and Reno promoter Coby Rowe told Cyclocross Magazine a December shift for his event would be feasible.
