Mat Stephens (Panaracer/Stan’s NoTubes p/b Bicycle X-Change) and Josh Berry joined eventual winner Colin Strickland (meteor X giordana) in making an impressive chase back to the lead group at Saturday’s Gravel Worlds in Nebraska.
Stephens and Strickland eventually caught the leaders and overtook them in the last 20 miles of the 150-mile race. Stephens would go on to finish second behind Strickland to add another podium finish to his 2018 collection.
Berry emerged as the top finisher from the final chasing group, taking home a third-place finish to go with his second from the Dirty Kanza 200.
We chatted with both Stephens and Berry after their respective races.
