Denzel Stephenson (Boulder Junior Cycling) continued his impressive, undefeated UCI season, adding the 2016 Pan American Cyclocross Championships to his already-impressive 2016 win pile. The Colorado junior has won every UCI Junior event he’s entered this season, including the U.S. Open of Cyclocross and both days of the KMC CrossFest.
Stephenson wasted no time in getting to the front, stringing out the group and leading from the first lap.
Canadian Gunnar Holmgren (Garneau Easton) led the chase and the tight battle for second, holding off a fresh-from-Europe Lane Maher (Hands On Cycling) for second.
