The 2016 ClifBar CrossVegas World Cup women’s race came down to the wire, with a Dutch cyclocross star battling two living legends for the 2016 title and the World Cup leader’s jersey.
Sophie De Boer (Kalas-H.Essers-NNOF Cycling Team), Katerina Nash (Luna) and Katie Compton (KFC Racing p/b Trek – Panache) were locked into a tight, three-way battle for the World Cup win.
De Boer told Cyclocross Magazine she knew she wanted to hit the last turn first, and executed her last-lap plan to perfection.

She exited the final stairs in front and outsprinted Nash (Luna) and Compton (KFC Racing p/b Trek – Panache) for the win.
