Jeremy Powers (Aspire) went two-for-two this weekend in Colorado, following up his U.S. Open of Cyclocross win with a victory at the 2014 Boulder Cup at Valmont.
With the win, Powers is undefeated in 2014 in Colorado.
Allen Krughoff (Noosa) continued his stellar start of the season with a second place, matching teammate Meredith Miller’s performance earlier in the day. Tim Johnson (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) was close behind in third.
Jonathan Page (XcelLED) was disqualified after taking a bottle when prohibited, within the last two laps. This disqualification comes right on the heels of bottlegate at CrossVegas, where instead of being dq’d, Sven Nys was given a fine for taking an illegal feed. Perhaps it pays off to be the big name in cyclocross.
After the race, Page went on to his twitter account and recalled the crash:
Boulder report: crashed hard in 3rd but got up and finished. Cleaned wounds. Found out I was dq'd for taking a feed w less than 2 to go. Ugh

Soon after he was given another DQ, this one a tad sweeter:
Just got my 2nd DQ of the day. Really enjoyed this one. #peanutbusterparfait
