If you live in or around Georgia, get out your calendar and your sharpie and start marking dates, the Georgia Cross Series schedule has been released! Read the following press release for details.
The Georgia Cross Series has announced its 2010 cyclocross schedule. The GA CX Series Director Daryl Sawyer says “Georgia Cross Series is back for 2010, and I think we have been able to continue the tradition and quality that all the racers have come to know and love. The 2010 schedule will look familiar to long-time followers. Nearly all of the traditional races have returned, with the addition of four new venues. The 11-race series encompasses several geographical areas of the state and provides cyclocross racing for cyclists of all abilities from the beginner to the top cyclocross riders.”
New venues include The Rock Ranch in Barnesville, Cloudland Canyon State Park, the Serenbe Community, and Life College in Marietta. Favorites returning include Olmstead Park, OSP, Paulding Meadows, Ft. Yargo, and Elks-Aidmore Benefit in Conyers. Monteluce Winery will feature a new course. Prizes will be awarded for the overall winners in each division in the series.
The Rock Ranch race promoters Josh Stinger and Johnny Pratt are eagerly anticipating the first race of the season. “Team Bike Raising is honored to be promoting the series kick-off at The Rock Ranch. We couldn’t be more pleased with the venue. It’s going to be fast and aggressive, and the crowds are going to be huge.”
