Cyclocross Magazine got an early peak at Jonathan Page’s new ride for the 2009/2010 cyclocross season: Blue’s brand new new full carbon cyclocross frame. The frame appears to share Blue’s low-slung, racy geometry found on the CXC frame that Page, Laura Van Gilder and Brian Matter rode at Worlds (see our review in Issue 6), but exchanges the aluminum lugs for an all-carbon, monocoque construction.
The frame, called “Norcross,” weighs a svelte 1050 grams, yet is designed to be Blue’s stiffest ‘cross frame yet. One feature that adds to the stiffness is the massive 1.5″ bottom steerer diameter. The Norcross is scheduled to be available just prior to the ‘cross season in August or September, but price has not yet been determined.
