We’re running an essay contest in our print mag, and the deadline is just five days away. We’ve gotten a good number of great entries, but it’s not too late to get yours in. Write something that best conveys the “Spirit of ‘Cross” and you might win yourself a beautiful Redline Conquest Pro frame and carbon fork, a pair of grippy Hutchinson Bulldog ‘cross tires, or some sweet Axley shades!

We want to give back - tell us how!

So while we’re working on getting all the pieces together for our first issue, we’re trying not to lose sight of one of the reasons we’re doing this: to help grow the sport we love. We have a ton of ideas on how to do this, whether through donations of product or money to USA Cycling earmarked for cyclocross or juniors, working with promoters to increase junior turn-out, or working with grass roots clubs to get a bike or entry fees to kids who can’t afford these otherwise. We believe ‘cross is the most accessible form of racing for everyone - as you can do it on most any bike, and events are not way out in the boonies like a lot of road and mtb races. [More…]

Wrenching…

I just spent yet another half-weekend in the garage making all sorts of tweaks to the variety of bikes I’ve managed to cram into my single-car garage (and it still holds a car). Sometimes I find wrenching to be very rewarding; you know, getting greasy, fixing some trivial issue that has been driving me nuts for weeks, maybe even an easy upgrade. [More…]

How did you first get involved in cyclocross?

One of our goals in starting this magazine is to help grow the sport we all love. To that end, we hope we can build awareness of ‘cross and interest people in trying it out or coming out to watch. So we wanna know about your first ‘cross kiss.
